MAGNETIC BUILDING SET RECALL
Magnetix Recall, one child has died and many others have been seriously hurt. Magnetix Building Sets have caused DEATH and illness in several children who have swallowed small magnetic pieces. While the tiny magnets are small enough to be choked on, the injuries result after swallowing the magnets.  The cases have involved damage to the intestines and even death.

In another case, a child showed flu-like symptoms after swallowing the toy’s magnets. The child’s heart stopped and the child died, the autopsy showed that magnets had connected through the intestinal walls, cutting off blood supply and leading to gangrene.
On Friday March 31, 2006, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission recalled all Magnetix building Consumer Recall notice for RoseArt's Magnetix building sets sets, including the X-treme Combo, Micro, and Exteme sets because of a potential defect that could lead to SERIOUS INJURY or DEATH.  If you have any of these, or other Magnetix building sets, you should inspect the sets thoroughly to determine if any magnets are missing or have become loose.

IF YOUR CHILD IS EXHIBITING ANY FLU LIKE SYMPTOMS AND MAGNETS ARE MISSING, YOU SHOULD IMMEDIATELY HAVE YOUR CHILD’S HEALTH CHECKED WITH YOUR PHYSICIAN.
